Ranked Rumble placement glitch is deranking players in Apex Legends

Ranked Rumble has taken the place of the competitive playlist in Apex Legends Season 21, and a new bug has emerged that places players in Rookie rank. As Season 22 is right around the corner, getting de-ranked has become increasingly annoying given players are walking into the new season with a lower rank.

Players must complete ten placement matches in the Ranked Rumble mode before the game can assign a profile rank. However, there is a bug in the placement process that causes players to remain in the Rookie rank even after they have participated in ten games.

The only fix known at this point to to grind and climb up the ranks which is tough to begin with. The developer are yet to address this issue and with the upcoming launch of Season 22 in a few hours, it is unlikely that they will shift their focus on this.

It can be assumed that the arrival of the new season will recalibrate the ranks or give all the players a clean slate to start from scratch as having everyone in the same rank would be extremely unfair towards the lesser experienced players.
