Report: Envy set to replace Sonic

Team ‘Envy’ appears to be looking for a new fifth player as Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek is about to move out of the active roster.

It has only been three months since Sonic joined the team Envy and Envy is already looking for a replacement. Sonic joined the team as a primary AWPer in the start of June, with the report also indicating that the IGL ‘Nifty’ is set to take his role.

During his time with the Team Envy sonic helped the team to qualify for IEM Chicago where they got eliminated in the last place. Their failure to qualify for the ESL ONE NY, The StarLadder Berlin Major, MSI MGE Finals and the American Minor. They left a few noticeable results out to their name, they could barely regain their spot in the Esl Pro League Season 10.

Envy will have little to no time to finalize a replacement for Sonic, as they’re gonna be competing in the ECS Season 8 NA Pinnacle Cup and the DreamHack Masters Malmo NA Closed Qualifier in two weeks time, this puts them already at a bad spot.

With the reported removal of Sonic, Envy will be playing their upcoming matches with this roster.
