Revenant, Marcos to compete at Pokemon UNITE Asia Championship 2023

Pokémon UNITE fans across Asia are eagerly anticipating the playoffs of the Asia Champions League 2023, which will be held on 18 – 19 March 2023 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The regular season of the tournament saw some intense battles between the top teams of the East Asia League, Southeast Asia League, and India League.

The playoffs will see six teams – Hi5 and T2 from the East Asia League, MYS and RISE from the Southeast Asia League, and Marcos Gaming and Revenant Esports from the India League – competing for a piece of the US$86,000 prize pool.

Best-of-3, Single Round-Robin Format

On the first day of the playoffs, the six teams will be split into two groups – Group A and Group B – and will compete in a best-of-3, single round-robin format. The team with the least number of wins in each group will be eliminated, leading to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, the leading team from Group A will face off against the runner-up from Group B, and vice versa.

Finals in Best-of-5 Format

The finals will feature the last two teams competing in a best-of-5 format, with the victorious team taking home the first-place prize allocation of US$30,000. Pokémon UNITE fans can catch all the action via live streaming, which will commence on 18 March 2023 at 12:00 p.m. MYT (GMT+8).

As the Marketing Partner of the tournament, ONE Esports, a subsidiary of Group ONE Holdings (ONE), is producing exclusive content and comprehensive coverage of the tournament, including the playoffs. ONE Esports is distributing the tournament content across its website, oneesports.gg, and ONE Esports’ livestreaming channels, which include AfreecaTV, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Thai.

Official co-streamers for the event are also hosting watch parties and providing on-the-spot commentary in various languages, including English, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese Mandarin, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, and Thai, to engage with the Pokémon UNITE community.
