Richard Lewis takes shots on StarLadder for not paying their Casters

Richard Lewis is a British esports journalist and livestream commentator from Wales.

StarLadder hosted the CS:GO Major which was held in Berlin, Germany from August 23 to September 8, 2019.

It features a US$1,000,000 prize pool and twenty-four professional teams from around the world as with previous Majors. It was also the first time the Ukrainian-based organization StarLadder hosted a Major along with its long-term Chinese partner ImbaTV. The Berlin Major is the eighth consecutive major with a prize pool of $1,000,000.

StarLadder was already in lime light due to the Several CS:GO streamers received DMCA notices for streaming the Major from GOTV, sent by StarLadder themselves, leading to mass panic, accusations of illegality and all the rest.

Richard Lewis May have an abrasive personality, but his contributions to counter strike professional scene cannot be ignored.

While the community reaction is understandable, this may end up being a look at the future as esports fans are forced to accept that things cannot remain as they are now if the scene is to keep growing.
