Psyonix announces Rocket League Sideswipe

Psyonix, the developers of Rocket League have announced a new upcoming title for mobile devices. Rocket League Sideswipe will be the mobile version of its popular PC counterpart and will be released this year for iOS and Android devices. This game is being built from the scratch but the core will resemble Rocket League and deliver the same experience.

Rocket League is a very popular game within the casual and competitive community. This game has its own esports scene as well and the developers are looking to try their luck in the mobile gaming market as well.

Popular games which received their dedicated mobile version became a big hit in the market. Games like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, and LOL: Wild Rift are a huge success and Rocket League could be the next game on this list.

Rocket League Sideswipe will have a new perspective with mechanics similar to the original game. It will also have its own competitive ranking mode where players can flaunt their skills and the UI is being built in such a way that it feels familiar to the veterans and suits new players as well.

The regional alpha testing for Android has started in Australia and New Zealand and players can enroll using Google Play Store.
