Scout Voices Concerns Over Fans’ Disruptive Behaviour in BGIS 2023

The grand stage of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Dome in Worli, Mumbai, was filled to the brim on the final day of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023, with fans eagerly awaiting the intense gaming action. However, the overflowing enthusiasm spilled over into concerning scenes as some fans broke barricades and rushed into the venue, raising questions about event security and fan behavior. Popular Indian content creator and owner of TeamXSpark, Tanmay “Scout” Singh, recently spoke about this incident.

BGIS 2023: Scout’s Insights on Fan Behavior and Event Security

In a recent livestream, a viewer raised the issue with Scout, prompting him to express his thoughts on the disturbing incidents that unfolded during BGIS 2023. The scenes of property damage, broken barricades, and disrespectful behavior led the viewer to worry that such actions might jeopardize future large-scale gaming events.

Scout responded to the viewer’s concerns with a call for accountability and responsibility. He proposed that chargeable tickets for LAN events could be the way forward to mitigate such incidents. This approach would compel attendees to think twice before engaging in disruptive activities.

The gravity of the situation became even more apparent when Scout disclosed a shocking incident involving the Head of Security at the BGIS 2023 event. Fans’ aggressive behavior led to the Security Head being hit with stones, causing injuries. Moreover, the security personnel’s dedicated efforts to maintain order at the event resulted in physical harm.

Scout emphasized the need for restraint and respect when dealing with event officials. He highlighted the potential consequences of an official retaliating against fans and how such an incident could be manipulated. “Imagine if an official had retaliated and hit someone. The news would have been that an official hit the audience. They would have played the audience card. No one would have cared that the audience hit the official,” he added.

Scout questioned the reasoning behind physically assaulting officials tasked with maintaining order and safety at BGIS 2023. He underscored that it is unjust to resort to violence simply because security personnel are carrying out their duties to ensure a fair and safe event environment.
