ESL has confirmed that SK, FaZe & Renegades are among the teams which will be seen at IEM Sydney 2018. The $250,000 event will open its doors on 1st of May until the 6th. SK Gaming will be the defending champion this year. FaZe, on the other hand, looks to avenge their grand final 1-3 defeat against SK.

IEM Sydney 2018
The 16-teams groups will be comprise of invited and qualified teams. Top three teams will qualify from IEM Sydney Closed Asian Qualifiers. The Oceania Closed Qualifiers will also allow the top three teams to make their way to IEM Sydney 2018. .Tickets to the Australian event are already on sale on Ticketek’s website, with prices ranging from 39 AUD ($30) to 1,199 AUD ($940).
Alongside FaZe, Renegades are also among the first few ones invited to IEM Sydney 2018.
Other than the three invites teams and the six to-be qualified ones, we are yet to know any more details about the participants. The tournament will follow the regular format where the group stage matches will be a quick bo1 whereas, the playoffs will be played as bo3.
Most likely the invited teams will also include, TyLoo, Astralis, Heroic, Cloud9, NiP, and Fnatic. We will keep you posted as ESL reveals!
