Skyesports’ Stature in BGMI Esports
Skyesports has emerged as a leading organizer of original IP tournaments for BGMI ever since the game’s release in June 2021. The Skyesports Championship 4.0 – BGMI, held in September 2021, was one of the game’s earliest major tournaments and achieved a record-breaking peak viewership of 221,000. Furthermore, the Skyesports Grand Slam in early 2022 also garnered impressive viewership numbers, reaching a peak of over 150,000 viewers.
The SCS – BGMI marks the first of many online and offline esports tournaments that Skyesports has planned for the mobile battle royale community in India. Like their efforts in other games, Skyesports aims to establish a well-structured roadmap for BGMI esports.
In an exciting development, the top two teams from the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) will receive invitations to the Skyesports Championship 5.0 Finale, which will be a LAN event taking place later this year.
Looking back, the inaugural season of the Skyesports Champions Series, held last year, featured VALORANT in partnership with Riot Games. As part of the road to VCT 2022, this tournament provided a platform for South Asian teams to represent the region internationally.
The return of the Skyesports Champions Series, now featuring BGMI, promises an electrifying competition for both players and fans alike. It serves as a testament to the growing influence and popularity of esports in India, and Skyesports’ commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences to their dedicated audience.
