Riot Games will be hosting the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 South Asia Challengers in collaboration with Skyesports.
South Asian Valorant teams will be able to participate in the Challengers event for a shot at the Asia-Pacific Challengers two, winners of which will be making their way to the Stage Two Masters later this year.
The official Skyesports Twitter handle termed the event as “a golden opportunity for the teams from South Asian region to represent in VCT Global circuit.”
While the details of the tournament haven’t been revealed just yet, Skyesports confirmed that they’ll be releasing details about the registration and format in the near future.’
The Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 will be replacing NODWIN Gaming’s Valorant Conquerors Championship. The latter event gained significant popularity among esports enthusiasts across South Asia and also proved the potential of South Asian teams on the international stage.
NODWIN Gaming’s VCC was the official event for Stage One, with the top two teams making it to the APAC Challengers. Velocity Gaming and Global Esports were the two teams to qualify for the event but neither managed to secure a spot for the ongoing Valorant Masters Reykjavik.
