Smooya Apologizes To Fans For Past Behavior

The former Chaos EC star resorted to Twitter to make a public apology for his inappropriate behavior in the past.

British CSGO pro Owen “smooya” Butterfield has made a public apology to his fans addressing his past behavior which was under fire from the community recently.

“Made too many mistakes in my career outside of the game which have heavily messed with my career in the game,” the 21-year-old said in a tweet. “My apologies to those who have wanted the best for me as well as those who currently want the best for me.”

Previously, Smooya has been a part of renowned esports orgs like BIG and Chaos Esports Club in the past. He was picked up by c0ntact Gaming on a trial in August 2020 which ended in October.

This is not the first time smooya has apologized for his inappropriate actions, though.

He was banned from the FACEIT Pro League back in February 2019 for displaying toxic behavior towards Ismail “refrezh” Ali. He later resorted to Twitter with an apology tweet to clarify himself. “I don’t agree with what I said nor do I think it’s right in anyway,” smooya claimed in his tweet.
