Report: GiLL to join Orange Rock Esports’ PUBG Mobile Roster after PMPL

Arshpreet "GiLL" Singh is in talks with Orange Rock Esports and is set to join them after PMPL, a source close to the team has told TalkEsport.

Arshpreet “GiLL” Singh is set to replace Viren “VIRU” Gour in Orange Rock after PMPL, according to sources who have exclusively spoken to TalkEsport. While the reasons for this sudden change have not been mentioned, the timing seems peculiar with Viru having just joined a month back, and PMPL South Asia finals being the only major tournament he has played under the OR banner.

Viru, who has previously played in 7Seas and Entity, was known to be highly regarded in the community as one of the best assaulters. While he was part of the Entity team that won the PMCO Fall Split: South Asia 2019 as the 5th player, his time at 7Seas was not so fruitful, with runners up place at the Villager Esport Invitational 2020 being their only top 3 finish. With OR, he has already won 2 minor tournaments called NIMO TV Battleground Season 1 and PUBGM Veteran Showdown: Captain’s League, which, however, will not be recorded in the history books as his most notable achievements.

GiLL, on the other hand, has been with Godlike since the end of last year, with some exceptional performances that have led GodL to win Gamers Without Borders 2020: Asia, PMPL – Spring Split 2020: SA Scrims Season 2, and most notably PUBG Mobile Club Open – Spring Split 2020: India. In week 1 of PMPL South A, he gave the most damage of all players, and has consistently been in the top 10 of the kill leaderboard as well.

The other surprising part, apart from Viru’s very short stint at OR, is the fact that GiLL is going to leave a stable, consistent lineup that was climbing the charts to be one of India’s best PUBGM rosters. What is sure to happen, though, is that this change is going to set in motion a series of moves, one that is bound to keep us on our toes.
