Srilankan org, Indian & Bangladeshi players team up to win R6S August Major

After running over KIRA Esports in the Semi-Finals, Team Union Gaming have set up yet another stellar performance where they eased past Team MercenarieZ in the Grand finale of the South Asia Nationals. Led by Tasabbir “Sparko” Hashem Easraq, Union Gaming did pull of a clean sweep over the guys from Team MercenarieZ by overcoming them with a scoreline of 3-0 in a Best of 5 affairs. Along with been crowned as the champions of the South Asia Division, they also have bagged 275 points for the Six Invitational, which is annually held at Montreal, Canada.


he grand finale featured 3 maps comprising of Theme park followed by Clubhouse where Team Union Gaming prevailed and in course did configure the next map as a do or die affair for the MercernarieZ. With DOC7ER and his men looking destitute and listless, Oregon too saw a closely contested matchup go to shambles as UG simply out-aimed and out-gunned MercZ on all sites.

With 275 Six Invitational points in the bag and notching up the Lion’s share of 7500USD from the Prize pool, history has been made at today’s South Asia Grand finals as Team Union Gaming are the only team yet to achieve this feat. Based in Sri-Lanka, UG comprises of 3 players from India and rest 2 from Bangladesh. They are currently fielding this team which till now has proven to be coherent and in good leadership.
