Managed by League of Legends giants SK Telecom, South Korean Organization T1 have parted ways with its players from Valorant’s Pro team. Earlier the players were allowed to explore their options for the future after an early exit in First Strike’s Quarterfinals.
This disbandment comes after a “potential new rule” which is being inculcated in Valorant’s Professional scene. This new rule would put a stop for the organizations to run more than a single competitive VALORANT team.
Cloud9 parting ways with its South Korean team might have met a similar fate after the former already fields two Valorant teams in the United States named, Cloud9 Blue and Cloud9 White.
With odds in their favor, T1’s South Korean Valorant roster were poised to win the First Strike but were shown the door by ANg Darkhorse in the playoffs. Before this major event, they had put up a daunting show at the A.W Extreme Masters’s Asia Invitational followed by APE Valorant Battle where they ended as Runner-ups.
At the A.W Extreme Masters, they went head to head against the First Strike Champions, Vision strikers led by Lee ‘k1Ng’ Seung-won and his men where they were nearly eliminated by the former.
