T1 Signs Super Smash Bros. Player ‘MkLeo’

T1 Entertainment & Sports announced today that the T1 family has gained a new member, signing Super Smash Bros. player Leonardo ‘MkLeo’ Lopez Perez. 

Known to be one of the greatest players of all-time, ‘MkLeo’ will join T1’s Super Smash Bros. roster alongside Jason ‘Anti’ Bates. 

“I’m beyond excited for ‘MkLeo’ to join T1 as he will continue to strengthen our North American presence and reinforce T1’s commitment to the fighting game community,” said Joe Marsh, CEO of T1. “I’m confident he will be able to continue his legacy as one of the greatest of all-time as he looks to make his mark in T1 for years to come.

‘MkLeo’ expressed his thoughts of joining T1 saying, “It is great joining T1! I hope to continue to play well in Super Smash Bros. and I know that this is just the beginning of a lot of big things with my new T1 family.” 

‘MkLeo’ started his gaming career at the age of eight when he entered the Smash Bros. Tournament at the Anime Expo Mexico TNT 2009. His gaming career soared to new heights after playing Joker.

Since then, ‘MkLeo’ has topped a number of competitions with first-place wins from GENESIS 6, Smash Ultimate Summit, MomoCon 2019, Smash ‘N’ Splash 5 and at the infamous EVO 2019 and Super Smash Con 2019. He recently grabbed a win at the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles at Frostbite 2020.
