Earlier this week, Team Liquid traded Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and Wilton “zews” Prado for Jake “Stewie2K” Yip from MIBR and Liquid’s co-founder stated that ‘the organization is reviewing a number of options to fill the coaching role’. In the aftermath, North American squad has finalized the position with the addition of Eric “adreN” Hoag. The 28-year-old has played under Team Liquid’s banner during 2015-2016 and later, he moved to Mystic Gaming.
Under Wilton’s coaching, Liquid has achieved tremendous success with two LAN victories and multiple second-place finishes. On the other hand, Eric will reunite with a couple of his former teammates Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and Nick “nitr0” Cannella. Either of iBUYPOWER Invitational or IEM Katowice 2019 could be an ideal event for Team Liquid’s debut with Wilton and Jake.
