Team Liquid announced that they will be leading into the next DPC season with the ex roster of Alliance after their own roster which was already famous for its consistent performance left the organization earlier this year.
The newly signed Liquid squad features Michael “miCKe” Vu, Maximilian “qojqva” Bröcker, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn, Tommy “Taiga” Le and Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi entirely from the ex-Alliance lineup.
The ex-Alliance squad has a long running history in the esport scenes of both DOTA 2 and HON. After Alliance failed to qualify for The International 2017, they acquired the the boys who were then leaving HON scene. Despite not qualifying for TI8, the roster stuck together and finally made it into TI9. Sadly, their TI9 run was short lived and the drafting mistake of iNSaNiA became the final nail in the coffin for their TI9 run.
Even though they haven’t had impressive performances in recent events, the squad shows a lot of promise and finally with an organization like Team Liquid signing them and giving them a chance, this might be a turning point for the boys who have stuck together since their time in HON.
It is only a matter of time before we find out if the newly signed squad will survive and shine in the harsh DOTA 2 competitive scene under the banner of Team Liquid, or it will fail to make its mark.
