PUBG mobile India recently revealed 16 invited teams that will be playing against qualified in PMIS 2020. Fan-favourite Team SouL was one of those 16 teams. However, MorTaL, CEO of SouL and a team member announced that SouL will not be participating in PMIS 2020.
This news comes after the completion of PUBG mobile pro league South Asia 2020. The performance of team SouL in PMPL was not good. Moreover, they failed to secure a slot for themselves in the world league. They have never failed to qualify for a global PUBG mobile event in the past.
MorTaL put up a story on his Instagram that said, “Team SouL will not be playing PMIS. We need time to work on our mistakes. Tournament after tournament in last 6 months has been building nothing much but mental pressure. Will be back in action right after PMIS ends.”
He added, “This is not a break. Will be playing customs throughout. And work on basics and mistakes. We are not the best but will have to work for it wisely.”
Indian audience is surely going to miss the defending champions of PMIS in the tournament.
However, this is a good thing for Team SouL. Some changes in the team and gameplay may do wonders for them.
