Team SouL Walking Out of BGMS Season 2 Leads to Penalty

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 caster Amrit “Fyxs” Gourav recently talked about Team SouL forfeiting the tournament due to network connectivity and device issues. Fyxs claimed that the manament has penalized Team SouL for their actions.

Fyxs Talks About Team SouL’s Penalty For Walking Out of BGMS Season 2

BGMS Season 2 took an unforeseen turn during its Super Weekend 2 Day 3. The event faced connectivity and device issues leading to unfair games for some teams and match delays. Amidst this turmoil, Team SouL decided to forfeit the last match of the day and walk out due to this prevailing unfair conditions. Several other noteworthy teams, echoing Team SouL’s stance, followed suit and walked out. 

In the recent livestream, viewers asked Fyxs about potential penalties Team SouL might face for walking out of BGMS Season 2. To contextualize the situation, Fyxs drew parallels between his role and that of Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, co-owner of S8UL Esports, during the infamous PUBG Mobile India Tour (PMIT) incident in 2019. Fyxs added that while he explained matters to the audience, Thug clarified things to players whose professional future was at stake.

During PMIT 2019, teams were grappling with subpar internet connections, prompting several teams to contemplate walking out in protest. However, Thug intervened to guide them. Thug reminded the players that their careers were on the line, and wrong decisions could damage their esports.

Fyxs highlighted that any actions such as walking out or engaging in similar conduct during official events would inevitably lead to consequences. Although he stated that he was not sure what penalty was imposed on Team SouL for walking out of BGMS Season 2, Fyxs expressed unwavering certainty that penalties had indeed been imposed. Following this, he added that the viewers can ask Tem SouL’s manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi about it.
