PUBG Mobile’s Chinese counterpart, Game for Peace, is going to launch Tesla’s model Three into the game today. This will be the second partnership by PUBG Mobile this month. Earlier they collaborated with Yahama to launch its two bikes as skins in the global version.
The mode of this launch is still unclear but its pretty likely that the launch will be in the form of an event or will be available into crates. The official announcement said by Tesla China said they will be launching “limited edition” skins into the game
Tesla has been teasing about a collaboration with Game for Peace recently. It was clear from an earlier announcement which shows a real-life loot crate, dropping infront of Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai in form of an airdrop, themed similar to PUBG Mobile’s loot drops.
This video showcases how a real life loot crate was airdropped at Tesla’s Gigafactory. The lootcrate reveals a Giga Shanghai’s Model 3 in an artistic form. The similar loot crate was seen in the Shanghai Taikoo Hui Center.
The partnership was self revealing when many people saw the “loot crate” outside of Tesla’s factory. The car skin will be dropping into the game today in Chinese PUBG Mobile exclusively, and no plans of a global launch are revealed.
Game for Peace runs some versions ahead of the global version and is said to be smoother than global version itself. The chinese counterpart runs its own operations in China although the game is exactly similar to PUBG Mobile but “less violent”.
This partnership brings in a plethora of opportunities for the game industry. The big names partnering up esports organizations was huge itself, and mobile games getting such exclusive launches signals to a better future for mobile gaming and esports.
