Tfue gets “swatted” while streaming Minecraft live on Twitch

Superstar streamer Turner Tenney a.k.a Tfue appears to have been swatted today during his live stream session.

The Twitch star was streaming Minecraft when distant sounds of some people can be heard ordering Tfue to come outside with his hand raised up. Soon Tfue gets up and leaves. The streamer can be heard repeating, “I have my hands up officer” several times as he moves to go outside.

After several minutes his following conversation with the officer cannot be heard and the stream also went silent hoping to hear more from Tfue when he comes back. After sometime Tfue returns to his computer and sits silently for some time staring at the camera.

Soon he explains what happened to chat and laughed it off to again being streaming Minecraft. After a moment, he gets a donation from one of his viewers claiming to be the swatter who said “get swatted,” to which Tfue simply replied, “nice man, you got me… got me real good.”

For those unaware of Swatting, it is an act of making a hoax emergency call to police authorities with reasons like the suspect is a drug dealer, abuser, armed, etc in the hope of an armed dispatch being sent to the home of the unsuspecting target to scare him off.

Generally, the main targets of these “swatters” are Youtube and Twitch streamers. They call in the swat in hope of watching the event unfold live in real-time on the stream. This isn’t the first-time Tfue was the target of “swatting”, last time it happened when he was streaming Fortnite scrims matches.

Although as harmful and simple as it sounds, swatting is dangerous and has caused fatal incidents in the past, with one unsuspecting target getting shot by the police resulting in the death of an innocent man.
