The CSGO skin marketplace is no stranger to hefty prices but the one we’re talking about today might just take the cake, priced at more than a million and a half US dollars.
You wouldn’t have to go back in time too much to figure out how the Skins in CSGO have exploded in price. An AWP Dragon Lore, one of the most coveted items in the game used to cost $2000 in 2018.
But today its nothing close to that, priced at $10,000. The same can be said for the most valuable stickers, the Titan and iBuypower Holo stickers from EMS One Katowice 2014, which cost $50,000 and $30,000 respectively.
But the knife that is THE MOST valuable item, is nowhere close to that number. Owned by a well-known trader by the name of Newb Rage, the Karambit|Case Hardened is a sight to see. A blue gem from top to bottom was priced at $600,000 just a few weeks back. But there have been many developments in that price since.
Twitch streamer and trader ‘ohnePixel’ acted as a middleman for the purchase of the knife owned by Newb Rage. The amount offered was $1.2 Million, the most ever in CSGO history and by a large margin. But the owner still refused to sell, citing the offer as low and asking for a price of $1.5 million or higher.
With the rise of Cryptocurrencies and NFTs(non-fungible tokens) more and more people have invested in CSGO skins, and if this is a sign of things to come the prices may be even higher in the coming days.
