These Mobile Gaming Titles Are Underway In 2019

So, it is inevitable to notice that mobile esports is growing at an unprecedented rate with more and more tournaments and events coming into the picture each passing year. Pc or Console gaming requires years of hard work and thousands of hours to master but the best thing about mobile games is that you can master them in a span of a few months. The cause of growth for mobile esports has been the new, more challenging and more fun to play games along with organizations taking interest in hosting tournaments for these games. So if you’re dreaming of living life as a competitive gamer, these are some games you should be mastering.

Brawl Stars

BRAWL stars is a free to play multiplayer online-based arena (MOBA) that was launched globally last December. It comes from Supercell, the creators of hit mobile esports games like Clash Royale and Clash of Clans.

Brawl stars appealed to a massive audience due to its simple interface and various game modes including a mini-battle Royale mode (Showdown). The title managed to generate $200 million just four months after its launch. Being a MOBA, it is a spectator-friendly game with many past esports events, the latest one being at the ESL India Premiership 2019.

Guns of Boom

Guns of Boom is one of the few mobile games with a systematic esports league, managed by ESL and it’s been played in some of the biggest esports events in the world, from IEM Katowice in March to ESL One Cologne this July. Guns of Boom boasts a massive $500,000 prize pool for its first season in 2019 and is open for players across all regions of the world.

Due to its simplicity, the games serve a casual player base but it’s skill cap also attracts hardcore gamers. It is the one to watch out for in this growing esports scene.

Call of duty Mobile

Activision and Tencent joined forces to develop the Mobile version of the globally popular Call of Duty franchise adding to it, elements from the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series.

In addition to being backed by Tencent which has massive esports experience with all its mobile games right from Pubg mobile to Arena of Valor, the game has all the required elements to make it an esports success. Fans are eager for its official release as it already has over 10million pre-registrants. Call of Duty’s highly competitive team-based gameplay makes it a perfect esport game.

Mobile Legends

Developed by Moonton, the game has generated $200 million since its launch in 2016. Currently, Mobile Legends is battling to become the most popular mobile MOBA game, which means it has to grow on the flourishing esports scene.

Right now, the developers are focused on Malaysia and Indonesia, where the game made a strategic partnership with AirAsia. The 2018 season in this region includes a $100,000 prize pool so the game clearly has some tailwind going for it. Mobile legends was also featured in the first iteration of Dreamhack Mumbai 2018.
