This innovative scholarship program aims to support aspiring e-sports professionals by offering substantial tuition exemptions to students who demonstrate exceptional gaming skills in specific titles.
Esports Ace Player Project
The “Esports Ace Player Project” is designed to evaluate applicants based on their gaming proficiency, providing financial incentives to support their educational pursuits. The selection process comprises two stages:
- First Screening: Application review. Successful candidates receive a ¥100,000 reduction in tuition for the first semester of the first year.
- Second Screening: Practical skill test. Successful candidates receive a ¥435,000 reduction, covering the full tuition for the first semester of the first year.
The program is open to up to 15 students who meet the following criteria:
- VALORANT: Achieved Immortal 3 rank or higher.
- Apex Legends: Achieved Predator rank or higher.
- Overwatch 2: Achieved Master 2 rank or higher.
- Fortnite: Experience in Asia Top 30 or higher.
Applicants must submit an application form and proof of their rankings via an online form or by mail. The application period runs from June 1 to July 6, 2025.
Online Briefing Sessions
To provide prospective applicants with detailed information about the program, Tokyo Cool Japan Academy will host online briefing sessions on the following dates:
- April 20, 2025 (Sunday): 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- May 11, 2025 (Sunday): 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
