This is why Riot removed Yoru from Valorant Agent Selection

Riot Games has currently disabled Yoru in Valorant to fix an issue. The developers delivered this message via in-game prompt and has not provided any information on the nature of the issue but we might have an idea on what may have caused it. Yoru was one of the newest additions and his teleport abilities were being used to exploit some unknown bugs in Valorant.

Yoru was the latest addition in the pool of agents in Valorant. This agent is equipped with an interesting kit which has teleports, invulnerability and flashbangs in the arsenal. Players experimented with Gatecrash, the teleport ability, and found some glitches where it can be game-breaking.

Some instances were not severe as others. One clip shows how Yoru can teleport in the Teleporter section of Bind without actually activating it. More clips were surfacing and one of the game-breaking bugs was recently discovered.

WHY IS YORU DISABLED IN VALORANT?

A player found out that Yoru can be used to teleport into the pyramids on Breeze. This can be used to gain a very unfair advantage and on top of that, Yoru users can plant the spike in pyramids itself. This bug makes it impossible to win a round if enemy Yoru decides to plant a spike inside pyramids on Breeze.

Riot Games might be investigating such bugs and finally decided to act on it by disabling the agent itself. One of the potential clue is that Breeze has also been taken down from competitive matchmaking and this disabled combo suggests that Riot Games could be fixing this issue.

The developers stated that Yoru is taken down to fix an issue and Breeze is disabled from competitive match to fix a bug. Players can still play Breeze in other modes like unrated or deathmatch. It is not explicitly stated that Riot Games have made these changes for this exact reason but it could be one of the reasons.
