PMPL South Asia Season 1 Championship is scheduled to start from today, 10th June 2021. The top 16 teams from South Asia, HTM, and Asia Wildcard will compete with each other for a massive prize pool of $150,000. This is the first season that brought together the top teams into the PUBG Mobile Regional Finals.
PMPL South Asia Championship is a four-day event where one invited team, top 9 teams from PMPL South Asia, top 4 teams from PMCO HTM, and top 2 teams from PMCO Asia Wildcard qualified for it. ZEUS ESPORTS
Zeus is a Mongolian PUBG Mobile team that ranks with the top teams in the world. The team was formed in 2019 and since then the squad has emerged as the best Mongolian team. The year 2021 is going great for the team. The team came first in the PMPL South Asia league stage and qualified for the championship by finishing second in the PMPL South Asia finals. Zeus Esports finished at third place and emerged as the best performing non-Chinese team in the Peace Elite Asia Invitational 2021.
DRS GAMING
DRS Gaming is the defending champions of the PMPL South Asia finals. The team was formed in August 2020, became one of the best teams from the Nepal region. Same as Zeus Esports, 2021 is going awesome for the team. The team came second in the PMPL South Asia league stage and qualified for the South Asia championship by winning the PMPL South Asia finals.
SKYLIGHTZ GAMING
Previously known as Abrupt Slayers, Skylightz Gaming signed the roster consisting of Leon, NovaX, HeavenXD, Joker, Charii, and Demon. The year has not gone great for the team. But the squad holds great potential due to its past experiences. The team got the invite to the PMPL South Asia Championship for winning the PMPL South Asia 2020 Fall. Although the team finished at the 15th spot in the PMPL South Asia 2021 finals, we can witness some great performance from the team in this championship.
TRAINED TO KILL
One of the oldest teams from Nepal, Trained to Kill has found its way to the PMPL South Asia Championship. The team finished at the third spot in the PMPL South Asia League Stage. T2K qualified for the tournament by finishing at 5th position in the PMPL South Asia finals. The team holds great potential to be one of the winners of the PMPL SA Championship.
FUTURE STATION 1952
Team 1952 was recently sponsored by Future Station Esports. The team is based in Bangladesh and in a short span of time has become one of the best teams in the region. 1952 has won the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2021 Bangladesh. Thus making them one of the favorite contenders for finishing in the top three positions. The team qualified for the SA championship by finishing at the 6th spot in the PMPL SA finals.
