Trainwrecks explains why he is better off maintaining his distance from internet friends

Trainwrecks in his own podcast explained why the aftermath of Dream’s cheating scandal is a perfect example of why he believes keeping his internet friends “at arm’s length” is a good idea.

Twitch streamers over the years have formed a tightly knit community of their own where they often find themselves crossing paths with each other, be it in games or through collabs, hence it shouldn’t come as a surprise if they eventually end up being friends. In an episode of “Scuffed Podcast”, the owner and host Trainwrecks explained why he keeps such friends “at arm’s length” and how the Dream situation justifies his behavior.

Twitch streamers often find themselves involved in drama, be it a cheating scandal or accusations of sexual harassment. Such fiascos from streamers carry the potential to break their career, to say the least, and their friends may be the ones dealing with the repercussions if things go too south. In a way, we can see why Train would do such a thing.

The latest iteration of the “Scuffed Podcast” had prominent names from the community and they didn’t fail to address the elephant in the room, i.e. the Dream situation. The obvious disappointment on the Minecraft content creator was evident from the faces of the attendees. Halfway through the episode, Train was asked if he would invite Dream back to one of his podcast and this is what he had to say:

“If m0e does some dumb f**king shit,” “You deal with your shit, you deal with the repercussions, you deal with the responsibilities. If I dip because m0e cheated in Valorant, and I dip for people I don’t know to make them happy, then that’s more of a reflection on who I am and not on who m0e is.”

Trainwrecks has his boundaries clearly drawn out. Keeping his online friends at arm’s length is an obvious ploy to protect himself from any future fallouts and rightfully so he keeps a tab on how much he mingles.
