Valorant: TSM wins First Strike UMG NA

The grand finale of First Strike – UMG North-America has eventually concluded with Team SoloMid (TSM) being the champions. The event hosted star-studded lineups of 16 teams throughout the region. The teams were divided into four groups comprising four teams each.

The group stage was hosted in a double-elimination best-of-three format with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs were single-elimination best-of-three matches while the grand finale between TSM and FaZe Clan was a five map clash.

On the line were four slots at the upcoming First Strike North-America main event. The $100,000 event will be hosted later this year between December 03-06. The main event will consist of four top teams each from First Strike NSG NA and First Strike UMG NA tournaments.

Team Envy, 100 Thieves, Sentinels and Renegades have already qualified for the event through First Strike NSG NA while TSM, FaZe Clan, T1 and Immortals have qualified through the recently concluded First Strike UMG NA. The winner will be the ultimate victor of the region.

While both the finalists were drawn in the same group, TSM had also comfortably defeated FaZe Clan in the winners’ match of group B. The finale as well was a similar affair. TSM bagged the initial two maps – Haven and Bind 13-9 respectively. FaZe Clan decimated their opponents 13-6 on Split, but the comeback was short-lived as TSM secured the finale 13-3 on Ascent to mark their dominance and grab the top spot.
