Twitch Streamer JustaMinx Banned For Saying “Simp” During Stream

The new Twitch rules prohibit the use of worlds like “virgin”, “incel”, or “simp”

A couple of days ago, popular streaming platform Twitch announced some new additions to their terms of service policies that sparkle controversies throughout the internet. These newly introduced terms included a prohibition of words like ‘simp’, ‘incel’, and ‘virgin’ in a derogatory manner. The list of banned words also included emotes relating to the same.

The new policies were supposed to go live a month later from January 22, 2021. However, popular Twitch streamer JustaMinx has received a ban from the platform recently for using the word “simp” during her live stream.

The news was shared through the Twitter bot ‘StreamerBans’ on December 18th, 2020.

JustaMinx resorted to Twitter to inform her fans regarding her ban. She claimed that she received an email from Twitch that said she was banned for using “hateful slurs or symbols.”

“I wanna clarify I did say virgin incel and simp yesterday but I thought the new TOS wasn’t in place till January,” JustaMinx continued.

It’s unclear why she was banned before the rules were supposed to go live. The possibility of her ban being reversed can’t be eliminated either.
