Major winning coach turned analyst Soham ‘Valens’ Chowdhury was announced to Head the Data Science division for Evil Geniuses, the American organization announced on Twitter.
Valens led Cloud9 to a fairytale run 2018 E League, Boston Major, where they hoisted the trophy and brought North America their first major. However Cloud9 had a rough couple of months post major as two of their stars in Major MVP Tarik and Stewie2k left the organization for MIBR and AWPer Skadoodle took a break from CSGO. Valens changed his role in the organization because he thought that with the new roster his expertise will benefit as an analyst for the organization.
Now with Valens heading Data Science and Impate as an on-field coach, both from Indian origin, EG will hope to keep their place in the world rankings. As they are to face FaZe Clan later today for IEM Beijing’s opening fixture.
