Rachel Hofstetter, aka “Valkyrae” is perhaps one of the most widely recognized female streamers, and even overtook Pokimane as the most-watched female streamer. Being popular comes with its own caveats, notable toxicity on social media platforms.
Valkyrae found herself on the receiving end of toxicity and criticism after a mix-up that involved TommyInnit and Addison Rae. Valkyrae was flamed by Addison’s fans after she was accused of removing TommyInnit, a prominent figure in the Minecraft community, from the DreamSMP server.
Though it is unclear how the rumors surfaced as there is no factual evidence that shows her involvement, Valkyrae herself was unaware of these bizarre events until she noticed the comments on her recent TikTok post.
The 29-year-old streamer is no stranger to negative attention as Valkyrae was also a victim of Snapchat’s clickbait article that painted her as a racist after she made a harmless joke during her Among Us stream and had a meltdown over it, but this incident clearly seems to be taking a toll on her mental health.
“I think there’s definitely going to be a time in my life where I do pivot out of social media. I don’t know when, I don’t know how… but it has been on my mind a lot.” she went on to explain “All these trolls and stalkers… it’s so creepy sometimes.”
