A few months ago, we reported that emotes might be coming to Valorant in a future update. However, according to recent leaks that have surfaced on the internet, it seems that the release of emotes in Valorant might be sooner than you think.
On October 25th, Twitter user ‘valorantleaksEN’ leaked a string of codes showing several emotes that may come to the tactical shooter in the near future.
These codes include numbered emotes like “Emote 1,” “Emote 2,” or “Emote 3” alongside a bunch of miscellaneous emotes like “Emote Help,” “Emote Joke,” or “Emote Taunt.”
Valorant Emote
While these leaks give us an idea about the upcoming emotes, we still don’t know anything about their release dates at the time of writing.
Previously, prominent dataminer ‘ValorLeaks’ had revealed some information about these emotes. According to his Tweet, the emotes will be in third-person view, and players won’t be able to move during that time. This likely means that emotes will be limited to the post-round phase or the buy phase only, and players may not be able to use them in the middle of a round.
Furthermore, ValorLeaks also revealed that players will have a wheel in-game to select the emotes from (similar to the chat wheel). Players may be able to assign this wheel to a separate keybind.
Bear in mind that none of this has been confirmed by Riot Games as of yet, so take this news with a grain of salt.
