Through a tweet on Tuesday, Riot announced that they’re planning to temporarily shut down VALORANT servers across Europe and North America.
This is in accordance with the latest patch notes for VALORANT released minutes earlier than this tweet. The patch 0.47+ saw some heavy nerfs to Raze and some minor ones to Sage. It also included several quality of life changes along with some minor map changes and bug fixes. The community welcomed the Raze nerfs as they had been asking for it for a while now.
The servers will be down for almost 6 hours across the EU and NA. For Europe, the servers will be down on April 22 from 3:30 AM CEST to 9 AM CEST. For America, the servers will be down from 4:30 AM PDT to 10 AM PDT. It was quite thoughtful of Riot to make the times of the server shutdowns ranging from midnight to early morning, since the player counts are generally low during those times. The servers are scheduled to be back up by the time people are awake and ready to game.
