Valorant Singularity Phantom Skin Has a Longer Equip Animation

Valorant players have reported that equipping the Phantom skin from the Singularity collection increases the equip and reload times of the weapon by a small margin.

Generally, weapon skins are supposed to have no impact on the actual weapon whatsoever. However, this case seems to be an exception.

This doesn’t have an impact on the actual reload time, though. Only the animation takes a bit longer to complete, which means that players can start shooting the gun a bit before the equip animation is complete.

This can negatively affect newer players oblivious to the increased equip time who might wait for the animation to complete before starting to shoot.

Regardless, due to the increasing number of complaints on the Singularity Phantom, there’s a good chance that Riot Games might be fixing this issue in an upcoming Valorant update.

Some players have also reported experiencing the same issue with the Singularity Sheriff, which can put players at similar disadvantages.
