T1 has unveiled former Professional Counter Strike player Daniel “fRoD” Montaner as their newest signing to their Valorant roster where the 33yo will be taking on the role of head coach on the team.
fRoD is known for competing in Valve’s famous FPS Title Counter-Strike. Having a brief stint with compLexity Gaming and Evil Geniuses during his CS 1.6 career has won a plethora of International Titles wherein the duo course he did lay his dominance in the entire North American Counter Strike scene. Upon entering as a player for Counter : Strike Global Offensive, he did play under the banner of Denial Esports for an unknown period after taking over on a managerial role for FaZe Clan’s CS:GO Roster. Before returning to coach Swole Patrol, he did compete at Overwatch by Battle.Net too. But things failed to have got much better after Swole Patrol who were signed by Lazarus Esports were dropped out of their contract by the latter. Upon Swag who then decided to transition as a pro player for then Riot’s upcoming “Project A” initiative, we did witness some professional players from the CS:GO pool leave the latter to revamp their career in Project A, now called Valorant.
Having signed Brax as their first professional player for Valorant, T1 began to assemble their team by adding AZK and Crashies to their roster before bringing in fRoD to coach the same. fRoD no doubt would be a familiar face for Brax as the latter had been coached by his present mentor during his time on Swole Patrol and Swole Identity.
T1 is yet to fill in the two vacant places on the roster but they carry out the proceedings in the way as they did during building of their Dota2 roster earlier this year.
