Riot’s take on the competitive shooter genre can only be termed as a massive success upto now. The unique gameplay combined with Riot’s brilliant marketing has guided this game to an amazing lift-off in its closed-beta stage.
While the actual release of the game is scheduled for summer 2020, a ranked mode for VALORANT has already been released for its players to enjoy. However, players can still only indulge in 5v5 matchmaking whether in unranked or ranked. Looks like Riot is about to change that, as some new leaks suggest that a new “Team deathmatch” mode for VALORANT might be releasing soon.
The image shows the game scripts for VALORANT mentioning a “TDM” or “Team deathmatch” mode under the “Game Modes” section for the shooter. While no official dates for the release of this new mode has been made public yet, we can hope to hear from Riot soon about the news of team deathmatch setting foot in the game through another major update.
For a fast paced competitive shooter such as VALORANT, calling the team deathmatch mode inevitable wouldn’t be an overstatement. Not only does it enable players to refine their skills in a stress-free environment, but it also enables casual players to just hop into the game to pop some heads without any commitment to the duration of the match. It can also potentially act as a nice escape from ranked since grinding can certainly be overwhelming at times.
Not to mention the deathmatch mode for VALORANT is bound to be really unique. With all the players having access to their different skill sets, chaos and havoc is pretty much guaranteed in every single game of this upcoming game mode for Riot’s new title.
