100 Thieves win Valorant First Strike North America

100 Thieves won Valorant First Strike North America after defeating TSM 3-1 in the best-of-five grand final.

100 Thieves have been crowned as the champions of Valorant First ever strike in North America sponsored by the game developer, Riot games. They sent Team SoloMid packing in the grand finale after winning the Best of 5 series in a fashionable 3-1 manner. Since their First Strike wins, they are being acknowledged for their dominance in the NA scene after coming from a complete roster revamp to winning their first-ever major tournament that too organized by Riot.

Around mid-August, 100 Thieves parted ways with 75% of its roster except for Spencer “Hiko” Martin as they failed to achieve top-notch results. This was followed by the addition of Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella who had recently retired from Professional Counter Strike to their Pro Valorant roster. Later, the roster was rounded off with Joshua ‘Steel’ Nissan along with Asuna and Dicey.

TSM vs 100 Thieves Valorant First Strike NA Grand Final Recap

In the Grand Finals of the First Valorant Strike in NA, nitr0 and his men were able to close off the highly contested map Split in a nail-biting finish where they escaped with a scoreline of 15-13. Carrying on the momentum from the first map, 100T yet laid their dominance on the map Bind thanks to Peter ‘Asuna’ Mazuryk’s ace in the 16th round.

They finally clinched the map 13-11 in their favor. With a total mental reset, TSM came out on the top in the Map Ascent. With a little room for errors, they never let 100T gain the momentum in the second half as they cruised to an easy 13-7 victory over Steel and his troops.

The 4th map in the series, Haven was a complete carbon copy of Ascent but this time in the favor of Hiko’s side as they left TSM no chance to adapt and improvise across the map. With this map win, 100 Thieves are your First Valorant Strike champions in North America where they will take away a lion’s share of $40,000 USD from the prize money of $100K USD.
