In October 2020, Filipino streamer and content creator Mika Daime made it to the headlines after she was accused by Valorant pros Matt ‘Wardell’ Yu and Keven ‘Player 1’ Champagne for cheating in the competitive shooter by Riot.
While those allegations were confirmed to be false by the developers, controversies seem to have continued to follow Daime, as she finds herself under fire once again after she was accused of spreading toxicity in the streaming community.
Mika Daime Issue
On December 30th, Core Esports PH uploaded a video of the streamer where he pointed out several instances of Daime acting unnecessarily toxic towards others. In the video, she can be seen engaging in a heated conversation with her teammates.
Core Esports PH also proceeded to claim that Daime had criticized ‘Fantech Philippines’, which can be considered unethical since she’s sponsored by Logitech.

Amplfy’s Official Statement
Days after the video surfaced, Amplfy terminated their partnership with Daime, claiming that they “do not condone out of line comments under any circumstance.”
“After careful review of the video uploaded last December 30, 2020 regarding Mika Daime, management has decided to terminate her AMPLFY partnership,’ they said in a Facebook post. “We understand that gamers have the tendency to be expressive with their comments when the game gets competitive, but we also need to know where to draw the line. Let this be a lesson to us all that we should help spread positivity instead of negativity in the gaming community.”
