Autimatic quits Counter Strike, to pursue Valorant at T1

T1 on Twitter have announced the signing of Timothy “Autimatic” Ta to their Professional Valorant roster.

Under just 24 hours, T1 has made yet another roster change by bringing aboard the ELEAGUE Boston Major winner on their Valorant team, Autimatic. Earlier today, T1 had signed David Denis for the Head Coach position in the team after the latter parted ways with their former coach, Daniel “fRod” Montaner earlier in January.

With the Switch to Valorant, Autimatic ends his seven-year long illustrious career in Counter-Strike. Throughout his time at the same, he represented some highly notable organizations like Team SoloMid, Complexity, Cloud9, and Gen.G where the latter decided to drop their CSGO division in the end.

Soon later, the 24yo North American was linked to a potential project consisting of Robin ‘flusha’ Rönnquist and Miikka ‘suNny’ Kemppi but it eventually fell apart as revealed by the former Fnatic player in an episode of HLTV Confirmed.

Back then, Autimatic’s transfer from Complexity to Cloud9 went on to culminate his career into an esteemed success where he won his first-ever ESL Pro League at Sao Paulo in 2016.

This was followed by Cloud9’s conquest at the DreamHack Open Denver in 2017 alongside a revamped team with Tarik “Tarik” Celik and Will “Rush” Wierzba. They were soon able to convert their team spirit and efforts to a Major Triumph at Boston, barging through their Underdog status to that of a Legend at the same. After being traded off to Gen.G along with Damian “Daps” Steele and Kenneth “Koosta” Suen, the Korean-American side achieved their first-ever success in the CSGO scene at DreamHack Open Anaheim.

As mentioned above, Gen.G recently placed its CS:GO roster on the transfer-list which saw Koosta join their Valorant Division along with BnTeT being traded to EXTREMUM, a project consisting of the Ex-100T quintet.

At T1, Autimatic will reunite with his ex-teammate, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham alongside David Denis, his former team Psychologist at Cloud9. According to a thread on Reddit, he is expected to replace Keven “AZK” Larivière on the team’s starting five.

With this addition, T1 Valorant now has:

  • Sam “DaZeD” Marine (Captain)
  • Timothy “Autimatic” Ta
  • Braxton “Brax” Pierce
  • Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
  • Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo
  • Keven “AZK” Larivière
  • David Denis (Head Coach)
