CSGO Pro S1mple Gets Banned In Valorant

The name of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is renowned in the world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The Natus Vincere legend is known for his AWPing skills and exceptional gameplay in the shooter by Valve.

The 23-year-old has been playing a lot of Valorant recently, and has managed to reach Immortal rank in the game quite swiftly.

However, soon after hitting the rank, s1mple found himself under the ban hammer of Riot’s tactical shooter as he was blocked from queuing in ranked games, as reported by himself on Twitter.

He also posted a follow-up Tweet dedicated to Riot’s support and claimed that he was not a cheater.

While the reasons behind the mysterious ban still remain unclear, Valorant developer Riley Yurk offered help to s1mple and asked for his account details, soon after which, the star was unbanned from the title.

Fans are speculating that s1mple’s temporary ban might have been placed as a result of receiving an excessive number of reports during ranked games. Riot Games have implemented stricter measures over the past few patches to punish cheaters or players who show abusive behavior in-game.

In s1mple’s word himself, he might have been “just too good” at the game and that may have resulted in him getting reported by his opposition.
