The patch 1.11 has added a number of new changes to Valorant, and it included some serious nerfs to Cypher and Killjoy.
It appears like the two agents might be taking another big hit in the next update, as Valorant Dev ‘rycou’ has stated on Twitter that Riot has added “temporary charges” for some reusable skills in the competitive shooter.
The implementation of temporary charges will prevent the abilities of Cypher, Killjoy, and Skye from being carried over to the next round, which means that players will have to be extra cautious while managing their economy with those agents.
The temporary charges will be applied to the following abilities:
- Cypher: Trapwire
- Killjoy: Alarmbot
- Skye: Regrowth
Cypher’s camera and Killjoy’s turret can still be recalled and repositioned at will, but being signature abilities, they are automatically restocked at the start of the next round.
“I made a booboo and added this to the patch notes too late, missing the cut off for localization,” rycou said in a tweet. “I figured I’d want to share this so that there is no confusion when the 1.11 patch drops.”
