T1 have announced the signing of Lee “ANS” Seon-chang to their Valorant division.
After a successful career in Overwatch, the 21-year-old South Korean DPS player from San Francisco Shock has finally made the switch to Riot’s first-person tactical shooter after retiring from the former in early January 2021.
During his time at SFS Overwatch (San Francisco Shock Overwatch Team), Lee steered the North American side to two major titles, the first at Overwatch League 2020 – May Melee followed by Overwatch League 2020 – Countdown Cup in the same year, 2020. Alongside these championships, Team SFS also went on to clinch two Premier cups along with a top 5 finish at the Overwatch League 2020 – Summer Showdown Major, held in July 2020. Across his career in the same, his picks usually did include Widowmaker, Hanzo, and Sombra. Before signing up for Team SFS, he kick-started his Overwatch career with BlossoM, a South Korean Organization that ventured into Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and Blade, Soul along with OW.
His switch to Valorant and getting picked up by T1 marks the latter’s yet another attempt to bolster their Valorant division, eventually expanding to a six-man roster. Before recruiting ANS, T1 had parted ways with their initial core consisting of Braxton “brax” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Larivière while they decided to revamp their roster with Timothy ‘Autimatic’ Ta and Rahul ‘Curry’ Nemani.
With the addition of ANS, T1 Valorant are now:
- Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
- Sam “DaZeD” Marine
- Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo
- Timothy “autimatic” Ta
- Rahul “curry” Nemani
- Lee “ANS” Seon-chang
- David Denis (Head Coach)
