Indian Valorant team Global Esports have triumphed over South Korean giants DAMWON Gaming in the first round of Valorant Champions Tour APAC Last Chance Qualifiers day 1.
DAMWON Gaming, who are currently one of the finest teams in the South Korean Valorant scene were taken down 1-2 by Global Esports in the BO3. With this victory, the Indian Valorant org has managed to qualify for the upper bracket quarterfinals in the APAC LCQ.
After having lost the first map Haven by a 13-8 score, DAMWON Gaming retaliated and took down Global Esports 13-7 in the second map, Ascent. However, Global Esports were swift to regain their composure and managed to win the decisive game on Split rather comfortably with a 13-5 scoreline.
The gunplay from both teams was nothing short of impressive. Global Esports saw yet another stellar performance from Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, who managed to secure his position as the MVP of the series.
The VCT APAC LCQ will conclude on Oct. 17, with the winner being able to secure a slot at Valorant Champions, the biggest annual Valorant tournament which will be organized by Riot Games themselves.
