How To Slide Backwards With Neon In Valorant

Neon is easily one of the most fun Duelists in Valorant as long as you know what you’re doing. Her kit enables her to outmaneuver her opponents at ease and rotate faster than any other Agent in the game.

However, playing Neon isn’t easy. Mastering her sprint and slide requires a lot of practice, but once you manage to get the hang of it, you can impress your teammates as well as your opponents with your movement skills.

There are a bunch of mechanics that you need to grasp to be able to play Neon properly. The ‘backward slide’ is perhaps one of the most useful techniques that you can learn to take your Neon gameplay to the next level.

Let’s take a quick look at how you can slide backward with Neon in Valorant.

Valorant: How to Slide Backward With Neon

The backward slide in Valorant is not that tough, but you’ll need a lot of practice to be able to do it consistently in the heat of the battlefield.

When playing Neon, there are a number of ways to do the backward slide in Valorant. Let’s take a look at the simplest method first:

  • Activate your sprint and start running forward.
  • Jump
  • When you’re just about to hit the ground, let go of the ‘W’ key, tap the ‘S’ key on your keyboard and execute your slide at the same time.

It may take you a few tries to get it, but this method is rather easy to pull off consistently.

There’s also the ‘running backslide’ which is a bit trickier:

  • Activate your spine and run forward.
  • Simultaneously release ‘W’, Tap ‘S’, and activate your slide (right-click by default)

If done correctly, you’ll be able to execute a back-slide while running forward with Neon.

Make sure to practice these back-slide mechanics in a practice lobby beforehand before trying them out in a competitive game.
