Only a few days remain before the heavily anticipated Valorant Episode 7 update hits the live servers, and fans of the competitive shooter can’t wait to know more about the new Valorant Agent that the upcoming patch will bring to the game.
Riot Games has officially confirmed that the upcoming Valorant Agent who will be introduced in the Episode 7 Act 1 update will be a Sentinel. There’s also a piece of official artwork on the new Agent released by the company. Anna Donlon, Executive producer on VALORANT, teased in a dev diary that the new Agent will “stop you dead in your tracks and pull you in for a closer look.”
Following the announcement, prominent Valorant leaker also leaked a bunch of new information about the new Agent. For starters, the codename for the new Sentinel Agent is expected to be ‘Deadlock’, as leaked by the dataminer.
There’s also a short teaser video showing Sova droning his way into an arctic landscape, which is presumed to be the new Agent’s homeland. However, take this with a grain of salt.
Other details involving the new Valorant Agent haven’t been revealed by Riot Games at the time of writing.
As mentioned earlier, the new Agent ‘Deadlock’ will hit the live Valorant servers alongside the Episode 7 Act 1 update on June 27, 2023.
