In a recent blog post made by Riot Games on their website, the developers behind Valorant have revealed their upcoming plans regarding the agents in Valorant. Here is all we know about the new Valorant Agent 14.
The most interesting part of this new blog post is perhaps the announcement that the next Valorant agent is going to be a Duelist.
For the unaware, there are currently 4 types of Valorant agents – Duelists, Sentinels, Controllers, and Initiators. Duelists are generally self-sufficient fraggers who their team expects, through abilities and skills, to get high frags and seek out engagements.
As of now, there are 4 Duelists, 3 Initiators, 3 Controllers & 3 Sentinels in the competitive shooter.
The silhouette of this upcoming Valorant agent has already been leaked, and the agent is rumored to be codenamed ‘Stealth’.
“The year will tear open with a Duelist for all you ‘lurkers’ out there, who will keep you on your toes around which angles are truly safe,” said John Goscicki, Character Producer of Valorant.
A ‘lurker’ can certainly spice the gameplay up in Valorant by forcing the player base to formulate new strategies and tactics to counter the 14th agent in the title.
The new agent is likely to land at the beginning of 2021, alongside the release of Episode 2 on January 11th.
