Riot Games moves Oceania to APAC region for Valorant Champions Tour 2022

Riot Games have collaborated with LetsPlay.Live, an oceanic esports tournament organizer and broadcasting media company who will host the 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour for the region as a part of the Champions circuit.

In addition, the entire Oceanic tour was shifted from North America to the APAC region following their previous demise of missing out upon the Valorant Champions where the Oceanic teams were unable to make it to the Last Chance Qualifier in Los Angeles citing travel restrictions.

LetsPlay.Live has bagged the exclusive rights to organize and broadcast the Valoran Oceania tour and with that being said, will lead registration, operations, and production of each stage of competitive play, as well as the 2022 VALORANT Oceania Championship.

Although the teams from the Oceanic region won’t be featuring in the International Masters events and will instead battle out at the regional Valorant Oceania Championship Masters event.

To further qualify for Valorant Champions 2022, the APAC LCQ would be their final passage towards the same.

The decision to shift regions came after ORDER and Chiefs Esports Club had to withdraw from the NA LCQ citing travel restrictions imposed by the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.

Both the teams had previously posted on their Twitter handle, headlining the same as they looked forward to represent the Oceanic region at a major LAN event, and cherish an opportunity to get under a spotlight for potential scouting.

Stage 1 of the 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour will also directly invite Order and Chiefs, to participate in the Group Stage as Seed 1 and Seed 2 respectively.

Registrations for the 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour Open Qualifier are now live and can be found out here:
