Reyna can spoil your Valorant matches with this tactic

A new Reyna trick seems to have flooded the Valorant community through Reddit. Just because you’re allowed to bind a single key to multiple keystrokes, this Redditor has found his way to get an upper hand over his opposition.

Recently, a Valorant player on Reddit suggested a dubious play that might be able to help. The goal is to assign the use of Reyna’s Dismiss to your left mouse button so that it activates whenever you score a kill.

Most of the feedback has been negative, but some have noted that when Reyna had four Dismiss charges instead of two, this trick was more useful. With four charges, using Dismiss right away would have less of an impact than waiting until later in the round.

This may seem helpful at first, but it actually causes a slew of problems and can slow down your games. The technology’s biggest flaw is that your first two kills require you to use one of your two Dismiss charges for the round.

Just like any other ability in a game like VALORANT, Reyna’s Dismiss has to be used in the right context to be useful. You may want to use Dismiss after a kill if you notice another enemy is close by.

Keep your Dismiss for later if you can see the rest of the enemy team on the other side of the map. If you aren’t tied down to using Dismiss, you can switch to using her Devour ability for healing instead.

Timing is yet another factor that should be taken into consideration. Following a successful kill by Reyna, she has a window of opportunity of three seconds to use either the Dismiss or Devour ability.

You may feel compelled to use one or both of these abilities right away, but it’s often best to wait and see if they’ll be useful in the current context. The option to hold off and see if the problem will go away is eliminated entirely by this technology.

If you’ve ever played Reyna in Valorant, you’ve probably experienced a frustrating situation where you got a kill but then died because you didn’t Dismiss fast enough or because you started healing yourself instead. Somewhat annoying, since you could have gotten back to safety before engaging in further duels if you had just managed to pull off the Dismiss.

However, with Reyna’s current toolkit, it is best to avoid this technology and instead concentrate on determining whether or not it is necessary to Dismiss.

Riot Games’ VALORANT is a PC game that features a competitive 5v5 character-based tactical shooting mode. Multiplayer shooter VALORANT features realistic gunplay, a wide variety of weapons, special abilities for each agent, and competitively-tuned maps that can be played for hundreds of hours.
