Samurai Esports have added Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar to their budding Valorant roster. The player arrives from Team Mahi after earning a reputation of being one of the best players in India right from the inception of the regional competitive Valorant scene.
While further details of the deal are yet to be disclosed, Excali’s arrival will further boost Samurai Esports’ credentials of staking a claim to be the best Valorant organisation in India, having previously taken in the released XTZ Esports lineup headlined by Simar ‘psy’ Sethi.
Samurai Esports has gained some notoriety in the scene already, despite going through some roster issues that saw Tejas ‘Rexy’ Kotian depart from the active roster. And now, with the addition of Excali, Samurai Esports will be looking to do some serious damage on the Valorant servers.
Exclusively Speaking to TalkEsport, Premal Mehta said, “At Samurai Esports, we have a un dithered commitment to be the best in Valorant and this move ensures another step in that direction for the roster. We are confident the acquisition of a seasoned performer like Excali will help us climb the proverbial Valorant India ladder with added velocity and aplomb.”
Excali leaves Team Mahi after a trophy laden blitz of a year and more in Valorant with the squad back from their Velocity Gaming days.
With Excali departing the Team Mahi roster, they will now have only five players in their squad and it will be interesting to see whether they stick with what they have or proceed to mitigate Excali’s departure with an arrival of their own.
