T1 on Twitter have revealed yet another academy roster for their Valorant division after parting ways with the previous iteration in August 2020.
Korean-North American side T1 have assembled a Valorant academy roster, built around Lee “ANS” Seon-chang, a former Overwatch professional who was earlier recruited by the former as the sixth player for their main roster.
In June 2020, T1 had signed Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic, Kurtis “Kurt” Gallo, Noah “rara” Giesbrecht, and Haydin “ZerG” Gordon for their Academy division but the team was soon dissolved by the organization after a string of poor results. At the end of March 2021, T1 decided to add ANS as their sixth player but instead chose to feature him in their newly built academy roster alongside four other players comprising of Anthony “dawn” Hagopian, Dylan “ ASSERT” Romo, Andrew “HILTON” Hilton, Evan “Eshotz” Rodriguez.
For now, it’s unclear whether the T1 academy roster would compete in the S-Tier tournaments along with their main roster. Usually, we might see them compete at the same because teams who field dual rosters like Cloud9 sign up for every event that takes place around. Also, there could be a possibility lying behind this whole academy team which is T1 trialing out a player from the same in a bid to secure him a place on the main roster as their sixth piece.
T1’s academy roster now has:
- Lee “ANS” Seon-chang
- Anthony “dawn” Hagopian
- Dylan “ ASSERT” Romo
- Andrew “HILTON” Hilton
- Evan “Eshotz” Rodriguez.
