While the feature of mid-game technical and tactical pauses has been existent in various popular FPS titles like CSGO for quite some time, fans have yet to see them in Riot’s competitive shooter Valorant.
Previously, we have often come across avid Valorant fans raising repeated demands of a timeout system being added to the title. Luckily, it seems like the developers have finally listened to the fans, as new leaks are suggesting that timeouts might just be on the horizon.
Prominent Valorant dataminer ‘ValorLeaks‘ has shared some details on an upcoming timeout system through a Tweet today.
According to the leaks, timeouts can be triggered by a team by simply typing ‘/to’ or ‘/timeout’ in the chat. Players will be limited to a certain number of timeouts per team, and no two timeouts can be called consequently.
The exact date of the arrival of this new feature is still unclear, and none of the leaks have been confirmed by Riot Games as of yet.
Timeouts can not only help players in discussing strategies if things start going wrong, but they can also be called when a teammate disconnects or goes AFK to give them some additional time to get back into the game.
